Ruby "Aileen" NeSmith, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on February 29, 2024, at her home in Wimberley, Texas. She was born to Melvin & Ozelle (Taylor) Manning on May 24, 1938, in Madisonville, Texas, and was raised in the heart of small-town Texas charm.

Aileen NeSmith was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She married her loving husband, Bobby NeSmith, on August 9, 1958, and together they created a home filled with love and cherished memories. Aileen and Bobby raised their family in Angleton, Texas. In the late 1990's they moved to Wimberley, where Aileen embraced the tight-knit community and found solace in the fellowship at First Baptist Church.

A proud member of the First Baptist Church family, Aileen found immense joy in her faith and cherished the bonds she shared with her fellow churchgoers. Even when she was unable to attend services in person, she continued to connect with her church family through online services, showcasing her unwavering commitment to her faith.

Aileen's zest for life was evident in her love for playing Canasta, her participation in various bowling leagues in her youth, and her athletic pursuits when younger. Her lively spirit and warm demeanor left an indelible mark on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Aileen was preceded in death by both of her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by her husband, Bobby NeSmith of Wimberley; son, Duane NeSmith (wife, Mary) of Frankston; daughter, Lori Gray of Wimberley; grandchildren, Taylor Jenkins, Joshua Gray (wife, Kaki), Kelsey Gray (significant other, Josh Scott) and Justin Gray (wife, Chelsea); and great-grandchildren, Lynzie Jenkins, Gracelyn Jenkins, Denton Gray and Dawson Gray.

A celebration of Aileen's life will be held at Willowhole Cemetery on March 2, 2024, at 11 A.M., where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and legacy.
