Alton Doyle Hass Sr., of Flynn, Texas, was born to Henry Edgar Hass and Ida Ellen Adeline (Busby) Hass on May 24, 1937. He passed away on May 28, 2024 at the age of eighty-seven years. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annette Hass; two sons, Roy and Ray Hass; two brothers, Buster and Birchel Hass; four sisters, Lois Russom, Pearl "Sis" Dean, Donnie Carpenter and Sybil Stephens; and grandson, Bradley Hass.
Left to cherish Alton's memory are his sons, Doyle Hass and wife, Roxanne of Flynn and Bryan Hass of Centerville; daughter, Sheryl Harris of Dallas; four grandchildren, Justin and wife, Ashley, Jerrod and wife, Madison, Shelby and wife, Kylie and Taylor; and six great-grandchildren, Bonnie, Emily, Jacob, Jackson, Cooper, and Harper, as well as numerous other extended family and loving friends.
Alton was a passionate gardner who never passed up the opportunity to get his hands dirty. He thoroughly enjoyed being outside and was an avid hunter and fisherman. If Alton wasn't doing one of those, you would be sure to find him at the BBQ grill.
More than anything else, Alton loved his family and cherished every moment he was given to be with them. He was an instrument of God's righteousness used to reach into the lives of so many. Alton will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
A funeral service for Alton will be held 10 A.M., Friday, May 31, 2024 at Union Baptist Church of Ten Mile. Bro. Kerry Stroud and Bro. Lee Weiler will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Baptist Church--In the name of Alton and/or Annette Hass.
