Amanda Faye Shadle

January 18, 1984 — February 11, 2021

Amanda Faye Shadle

Amanda Faye Shadle, 37, entered into eternal rest February 11, 2021. She fought a difficult battle for several weeks that eventually lead her home into the arms of her Heavenly Father.

Amanda was born January 18, 1984 in Webster, Texas to Bob Shadle and LaJuana (Lucas) Shadle. She grew up in Dickinson, Texas and was a 2002 graduate of Dickinson High School. She was extremely active as a trainer for the athletics department, loved singing in the choir and received her four-year letter for both. She was the type of person who never met a stranger and made countless friends throughout her life. If you were to ask her what her greatest accomplishment was it would have been July 4th, 2003, when she became the proud mother to her daughter, Hannah. She loved to travel and after a few brief years on the east coast, she eventually settled in Madisonville, Texas to be near her maternal grandparents and family. Amanda valued her family above all things and would do anything for anyone at any time. She was an amazing and giving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and niece. She always put her family first and never batted an eye at doing so. She loved her niece and nephews and would travel all over the state of Texas to watch them do what they loved from riding bulls, singing in their choirs, playing baseball or softball, to bar-b-que cookoffs. Amanda was also very loved by her two brothers, whom she was always bragging to her friends and coworkers about and would travel to various places to hang out and watch them do what they loved or just to visit. She loved doing BBQ Cook offs with her brother, Robert, and was a member of his team, Smoke Eaters BBQ. She was a wonderful, warm hearted, and passionate young woman who loved hard, played hard, and would fight for what she believed in. Amanda was the type of person you wanted in your corner and touched the lives of so many. Her absence will be greatly missed for years to come. When she wasn’t with her family, she was employed with T.D.C.J. at the Wynn and Eastham units for the past ten years, where she was greatly loved and admired by her coworkers and superiors.

Amanda was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Otha Lucas; paternal grandparents, Verita (Frank) Stansfield & Robert Shadle Sr; aunts, Jean Lucas & Renee Dillon and uncle, Chipper Shadle. Surviving family members include mother, LaJuana Shadle of Madisonville; father, Bob Shadle of Houston; daughter, Hannah Shadle of Madisonville; brothers, Robert Shadle of Victoria and Charles Shadle of Manchester, NH; maternal grandmother, Vergie Lucas of Madisonville and nephew, Layton Shadle of Victoria.

Funeral services for Amanda are planned for 10 A.M., Saturday, February 20, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Madisonville, Texas.
