Betty Jo King

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved mother and Mimi, Betty Jo Andrews King. She was the heart and center of our family, lost to us February 27, 2025.

She attended school, first through twelfth grade with her sweetheart, Thomas Wayne King, they married before their high school graduation and remained happily married almost sixty-five years. They started their journey traveling the country working on the pipeline but always coming home to North Zulch. Together they built their lifelong home and started a successful construction business.

She worked many long hard hours being a Wife, Mom, and Mimi. She did it all with patience and kindness, singing, whistling, or laughing. People were drawn to her fun loving and positive attitude. We never worried about her being in a bad mood, Mimi was always fun to be with. Loved for her honesty, she could give any criticism, and we weren't offended because we knew she loved us.

She found time to support her community, school and church and was the first to provide comfort to others in their time of need.

Their grateful children are Debra Lee Casey (Kenneth), Michael Wayne King (Chan), Patricia Ann Torcoletti (Tito), and JoNell Riner (Michael). She was adored by fourteen grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren; cherished sister-in-law, Norma Lee Hicks and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.

Visitation will take place Friday, March 7, 2025, from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. A funeral service, officiated by her pastor Olan Weaver, will be held 2 P.M on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
