Carolyn Joyce Glass

Carolyn J. Glass, a beloved member of the Grimes County community, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in Houston, Texas on April 30, 1943 to Abraham Bryan & Leah Mildred (Warren) Head, Carolyn lived a life filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering zest for life. She will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Throughout her life, Carolyn dedicated herself to her work and her family. She proudly served as an employee of Southwestern Bell for an impressive 28 years and 3 months, followed by 11 years and 9 months at TDCJ. Carolyn's dedication and work ethic were an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.

Beyond her professional life, Carolyn was a faithful and dedicated member of the Iola Worship Center for over thirty years. Her unwavering faith in God provided her with strength, comfort, and a sense of purpose throughout her life. Her presence within the church community will be greatly missed.

Carolyn approached life with an infectious energy and enthusiasm that touched the lives of everyone she met. With a warm smile and an open heart, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand or engage in a friendly conversation. Her ability to connect with others was truly remarkable, as she never met a stranger.

In her leisure time, Carolyn enjoyed the thrill of garage sales and the satisfaction of finding hidden treasures through bargain shopping. Her sharp eye and keen sense of style allowed her to discover unique and cherished items that brought joy into her life.
