Dorothy Bell Starns

A funeral service honoring the life of Dorothy Starns, 83, of Midway, Texas will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Joel Douget and Loyd Harper will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Midway Cemetery, Midway, Texas. A visitation will take place Tuesday, January 18th from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Dorothy Bell Starns was born to William Daniel & Annie Lou (Coleman) Adams March 23, 1938 in Madisonville, Texas. She lived her entire life in Madison County and was a member of Midway Church of Christ. Dorothy enjoyed playing dominos and crossword puzzles. She dearly loved her grandchildren and took care of each of them at one point in time. Dorothy passed away January 16, 2022 in Bryan, Texas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Jack Starns and sister, Helen Adams.

Surviving family members include son, Kenneth (Lisa) Starns of Midway; daughter, Debra (Bobby) Drake of Madisonville; brother, Thomas Adams of Madisonville; sister, Mary Adams of Madisonville; grandchildren, Heath (Ashley) Starns, Monte Jack Starns, Amanda Todd and Connor (Brooke) Drake and great-grandchildren, Isaac Starns, Andrew Starns, Elizabeth Starns, Elijah Starns, Jackson Smith and Paisley Todd.
