Dorothy Lee Adams

Dorothy Lee (Rice) Adams, age 83, of Willis, Texas was born on May 13, 1934 in Cross, Texas to Loid and Alberta "Berta" (Clary) Rice.  She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.  Dorothy had lived in Willis for the last twenty years of her life, having moved there from Terrell, Texas. She enjoyed going to the Casinos and playing the games there.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Floy & Weldon Rice; sister, Bonnie Denman; two sons, Gary Stephens & Bill Chaffee; granddaughter, Christa Garza and great grandson, Adam Martin.  She passed away in Willis on Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Surviving family members include husband, William Adams of Willis; two daughters, Margaret Conwell & Carren Thomson, both of Willis; two grandchildren, Susan Johnson & Michael Ivey; six great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dorothy Adams will be held at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.  Bro. Whitt Mire will officiate the service, and burial will follow in the Cross Cemetery in Grimes County, Texas.  A brief visitation for the public will be held before the funeral service from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
