Eric Trivonte Johnson

Eric Trivonte Johnson (Hagans) was born on October 27, 1982 in Huntsville, Tx to Leslie Johnson and Edmond Hagans.

At an early age he was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church. He attended Huntsville school district where he graduated in 2001. After high school he furthered his education at Sam Houston State University, where he obtained a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Eric began a career as a correctional officer for 18 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice shortly after graduating high school.

It was during this path that he met the love of his life Charity Nellums-Johnson. They were married on October 18, 2019. To this union there were four children, Essence, Payton, LaDerion, and Tamaria that he leaves to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy. Eric enjoyed more than anything spending time with his family, as well as watching the Dallas Cowboys play and grilling.

Eric has entrusted the cherishment of his memories to be carried on through his wife Charity Nellums-Johnson, their four children, his mother Leslie Johnson, his father Edmond Hagans (Christi), sisters Whitney, Britney, and Lauren, and brothers Brandon, Derius, Jordan, and Joshua. Also his grandparents Bettie Smither, and Luevenia Johnson, a very special aunt Terri Hagans, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Eric is preceded in death by his grandfathers Kimble Hagans, and Cleo Johnson, and his uncle Steven Johnson.
