Frank James Duncan

Funeral services for Frank Duncan, age 85, of Madisonville, will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Joel Douget will officiate the service and interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Navasota, Texas. A brief visitation will take place Wednesday morning from 9 A.M. to service time at the funeral home.

Frank James Duncan was born September 9, 1933 in Midway, Texas to Wesley D. & Claudie (Black) Duncan. He was raised in Midway and served his country in the U.S. Army. He later worked as a butcher and rancher. Frank enjoyed working on old cars and gardening. He cooked excellent briskets. He was never one to be found inside. Frank preferred being outdoors working. He had lived in Madisonville for the past thirty years and was a member of Mesquite Hill Baptist Church. Frank passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Bryan, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Billie Jean Duncan; sister, Norris Fallon and brothers, Les, Homer & Dean Duncan.

Surviving relatives include sons, Mark Duncan (Tina Powell) of Madisonville, James Wesley Duncan (Christine Barstow Duncan) of Spring; daughter, Gale Tedder (Joe) of Madisonville and grandchildren, Joel Tedder, Dustin Tedder, Sierra Tedder, Mark Duncan, Jr., Matthew Duncan, Rhiannon Powell, Jazz Powell, Anicka Duncan and Alden Duncan. Frank is also survived by great grandchildren, Ben Tedder, Zoe Tedder, Dustin Tedder, Jr., Wyatt Huntley, Victoria Ann Tedder, Mark Duncan, III, Tinley Powell, Rhemidy Matthews, Corbin Powell, Sara Conners, Dyllon Smith, Emily Duncan & Lane Duncan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
