Marie Morrison

Helen Marie (Langley) Morrison, 59, made her entrance into the world on June 24, 1965, in Houston, Texas, and passed away on March 14, 2025.

Marie, as she was affectionately known to friends and family, will be fondly remembered as a woman with a feisty disposition balanced beautifully with a loving demeanor producing a genuine and authentic lady with the innate ability to care for others in sincere ways. That said, Marie had an uncanny ability to speak her mind in ways that others could clearly understand. She had a talent for saying what needed to be said, to whom it needed to be said, precisely the way it needed to be said, oftentimes direct but mixed with grace. She kept a daily appointment with her favorite westerns which included Bonanza and anything with John Wayne. This time was always navigated with a cup of coffee alongside some sugary goodness. She had a heavy foot and for her, speed limits were just suggestions.

Marie made a lasting impression from the get-go. She was certainly stubborn and possessed a strong will but never passed on the opportunity to help others. She was a whole lot wound up in a small package.

Marie was preceded by her father, Roy Langley; biological mother, Eva Helen Langley; and her brother, Roy Eugean Langley.

Left to cherish Marie’s memory are her husband, Howard Morrison of Lake City, Florida; mother, Mae Bible of Conroe, Texas; son, David Morrison of Lake City, Florida; brother, Timothy Ferguson; sisters, Tammy Villarreal and Michelle Cabello (Juan), both of Conroe, Texas; close friend, Judi Denman, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.

A funeral service, officiated by Robert M. Bible will take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 6 P.M. in the chapel at the Madisonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour before the service beginning at 5 P.M.

Final arrangements for Helen Marie Morrison are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
