Herman Morris Harris

Herman Harris, age 82, of North Zulch, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in North Zulch at his son’s home. A memorial service will take place at 2 P.M., Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Willowhole Cemetery Chapel in North Zulch.

Herman Morris Harris was born on December 1, 1934 in Houston, Texas. His parents were Willis Edgar & Mattie Francis (Folsom) Harris. Herman had served his country in the U.S. Navy, and worked as a truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed hog hunting and riding horses. Herman had been a permanent resident of North Zulch for the past fourteen years, coming from Houston.

Herman was preceded in death by both of his parents; son, Robert Earl “Bobby” Harris; daughter, Kimberly Ann Harris; brother, James Harris and sisters, Margaret Grace and Anna Lou Harris. Surviving family members include sons, Richard Harris of North Zulch and Allen Vogler of Splendora and daughters, Cody Harris of Houston and Paula Shirley (Jeff) of North Zulch. Herman is also survived by grandchildren, Tiffany Dryer, Brandi Clay, Courtney Clay, Leah Grieve, Ashley Tupper, Hailey Pullin, Randall Sumbera, Olivia Cooper and Nathan Cooper, and numerous great grandchildren.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
