Howard Leon Ford

Graveside services for Howard Ford, age 86, of Spring, Texas, will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the Rock Prairie Cemetery, west of Madisonville. Rev. Mike Borghese will officiate the service.

Howard Leon Ford was born on May 13, 1931 in Fawell, Texas, one of four sons to Angus Owen and Belva (Crow) Ford. Howard lived most of his life in California where he worked as a Southern Baptist Minister. He pastored his first church, First Baptist Church in Taiban, New Mexico, at the young age of eighteen years. He spent the rest of his life pastoring at many different churches. Howard especially enjoyed woodworking. He was a founding member and President of the Conejo Valley Woodworkers Association. Howard had lived the past nine years in Spring, Texas. He passed away on December 19, 2017 at his home in Spring. Howard was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife; and brother, Harvey Ford.

Surviving family members are sons, Gaylen (Tracy) Ford and Kent Ford, both of Spring and brothers, Ray Ford of Venice, California and Troy Ford of Arizona. Howard is also survived by grandchildren, Tyler Ford, Chelsea Brown and Cole Ford, as well as, great grandchildren, Payton Brown, Lennon Brown and Able Ford.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
