James "Randy" Mcclung

James "Randy" McClung, age 64, passed away December 21, 2018 in Bryan, Texas. He was born February 9, 1954 to Mary (Cade) and J.W. McClung in Houston, Texas. Randy was raised in Houston and graduated from Bellaire High School.

Following graduation, Randy went straight into the workforce and took on the world with his ambitious attitude. He worked his whole life as a truck driver for various companies, such as, Miller Company, Mrs. Baird’s Bread and most recently, Midway Energy Services. He and his wife had lived in North Zulch since 2016, coming from Kerrville, Texas.

Randy was a loving husband, father, son, brother and cousin. He was a proud, lifetime member of the Houston Show and Rodeo, as well as, a staunch supporter of numerous non-profit organizations. He could never pass up NASCAR and a good beer and will forever be remembered by his family and friends as a good man. Randy will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a stranger to none and a friend to all.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, J.W. McClung and son, Chris Herrin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joann “Missy” McClung of North Zulch; sons, Cameron McClung of Houston and James Ghormley and wife, Kaylin of Midway; brothers, Gary McClung & wife, Asu of Kerrville; niece and nephews, Angela, Anthony, Andrew & Adam McClung, all of Kerrville and will be always be “Ray Ray” to his adoring grandchildren, Jaedyn, Krislyn, Madison, Brianna, John and Olivia.

Funeral services for Randy McClung will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Joel Douget will officiate the service followed by interment in the Midway Cemetery in Midway, Texas. A brief visitation will take place 12 noon to 2 P.M. Sunday, December 23rd at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Midway Cemetery Association.
