On the afternoon of August 3, 2024, Jimmie passed away peacefully at her home in Uvalde, Texas. Jimmie was 72 years old.
Jimmie was born in the City of San Angelo, in Tom Green County, Texas on September 30, 1951. She was the third child of all daughters born to Mary Lou (Mallett) Bess and James William "J.W." Bess.
Jimmie grew up loving animals, especially riding horses with her cousins and friends. She also developed a growing passion for sports, and community. That said, she adored her family the most as she possessed an immense love for her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. More of Jimmie’s hobbies included a variety of crafts, playing games with her family, and helping to make family holiday celebrations extraordinary. She enjoyed all sorts of shopping, collecting, and embraced every opportunity to display her generosity in giving gifts to others.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Mary Lou Bess; the father of her children, Gordon R. Coneley; and brother-in-law, Hugh Ned “Rusty” Jones.
Jimmie is survived by her children, James 'Brandon" Coneley of Uvalde and Ann Dean Coneley-Grinnell, (Joshua C. Grinnell) of Royse City; grandchildren, Lillian "Lilly" Bailey Homeyer, Seth Elexander Homeyer and Jaxon Grey Grinnell; and her sisters, Caroline Jones, and Linda Rice; as well as numerous cherished nieces, nephews, other extended family and loving friends.
A funeral service for Jimmie Coneley is scheduled for Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Madisonville Funeral Home. Those in attendance will go in procession to the Concord Cemetery immediately following the service. A time of visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at 10am.

The final arrangements for Jimmie Coneley are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
