Joyce "Diane" Robinson Evans

On Thursday evening, August 13th, 2020, Joyce “Diane” Robinson Evans , went to her heavenly home at the age of 52.

Diane was born on January 7, 1968 in Waurika Oklahoma. Above all, her greatest love in life was being a Nonnie, not only to her two grandsons but also to many other children in her life. She had a love for teaching children at daycare, as well as, at church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Diane was active in her church and loved to speak of the Lord’s goodness to her and did her best to spread His word to all she met. Diane was a loving tenderhearted, giving friend to all. She was a single mom who worked hard for her two girls to have what they needed in life. By her own actions, she taught them how to work hard and become a steward for those less fortunate. Leading by example, Diane saw beyond the surface of a person to the need of their spirit.

Diane was preceded in death by her grandmother, Francis Evans; two uncles, Gary and Jimmy Evans; grandfather, Billy H. Evans and grandmother, Katherine Martin. She is survived by her parents, Reverend Dale & Joyce Evans of North Zulch; her daughters, Carla McWhorter & fiancé, James Agular of Iola and Kathrine & husband, Jens Thogersen of Navasota; grandsons, Carter and Sebastian Thogersen; siblings, Denise & husband, Mike Hanson, Angela White, Darla & husband, Kyle Holbrook, Danny & wife, Delana Evans, all of North Zulch; nineteen nieces and nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.

A memorial service is planned for 11 A.M., August 17, 2020 at Iola Worship Center in Iola, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home.
