Joyce Ann Schraeder was born on August 15, 1948, in Charleston, WV to Norman Childers and Allene (Harris) Childers and made her glorious segue to eternity on July 23rd, 2024, where she is dwelling under the shadow of the Almighty.
Anyone who knew Joyce knew that the center of her life was her love and adoration of the Lord Jesus Christ, evident not only through the encouraging words she spoke, but also through the compassionate life of service she chose to live. Despite all the adversity she experienced, she chose love and generosity as she traveled through life.
Dynamite always comes in small packages and Joyce was no exception. Her can-do attitude, genuine love of people, and her servant spirit allowed her to light up every room she walked into and put a smile on the faces of everyone she crossed. Her love for her family was unmatched. She dedicated her life to encouraging, supporting, challenging, listening and caring. She was the first to jump in and get her hands dirty and the last to leave when things were hard. Joyce dedicated herself to doing life well with those she loved. Always challenging you to take the first step and was there even when you failed. Joyce dedicated herself to doing life and doing life well with those she loved.
A funeral service for Joyce Schraeder is scheduled for Saturday, July 27th at 10:30am at Singleton Bible Fellowship. Pastor Floyd Hoke will officiate.
