Larry Harris passed away August 3, 2021 in College Station, Texas at the age of sixty-four years. A celebration of his life will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
Larry Glenn Harris, Sr. was born November 10, 1956 in Waco, Texas to parents, Billy Dwain & Elenor Alene (Moore) Harris. He had lived in Bryan most of his life, residing in New Baden for the past two years. Larry was a member of New Baden Baptist Church and loved his church family. He had worked at various jobs until a debilitating auto accident cut his career short.
In his younger years, Larry had enjoyed hunting, going to the lake during summer months with family and friends and being outdoors as much as he was able. He also loved building and racing Hot Rods and drinking Coke. He was a family-oriented man and adored each of his beloved children and grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by both of his parents; sisters, Vicki Cox & Sherry Edwards and step-sister, Anisa Martin. He is survived by his step-mother, Rosemary Harris of Brownwood, Texas; son, Larry Harris, Jr. and girlfriend, Chasity Loving of New Baden; daughters, April Gonzales and husband, Chance of Leona, Texas and Amanda Wiedecker and husband, Chuck of North Zulch, Texas; former wife, Katherine Chappell of Hearne, Texas; grandchildren, Jackie, Ethan, Gillian, Tyler, Brynlee, K’Lee, Alayna, Payton and Naomi and great-grandchild, Brookelynn. Larry is also survived by step-sister, Robin Martin; brother-in-law and best friend, Toney Edwards; nieces, Leah Ann and Christy and nephew, Toney, Jr. and furry companion, Tucker Tuesday, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A meal will be served immediately following the celebration of life service in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church, 254 Madison Avenue, North Zulch, Texas 77872.
Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
