Lillian Ann Nicholson

Lillian Ann Nicholson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on February 1, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by the love of her family.

Lillian was raised in the North Zulch area before moving to Houston, where she attended beauty school and began her journey through life. It was in Houston that she met her devoted husband, Lawrence "Butch" Nicholson, with whom she built a loving home and had four children.

Lillian and Butch moved to New Braunfels, where Lillian fulfilled a dream involving her passion for antiques. She joyfully owned and operated her own antique and craft store, sharing her love of unique treasures with the community. Her vibrant spirit extended beyond her business; Lillian found joy in crocheting, painting, and attending antique auctions. She had a particular fondness for traveling and collecting beautiful rocks, each with its own story to tell.

Lillian’s heart was always centered on her family. She treasured each moment spent with her loved ones and took great delight in sending heartfelt Christmas and Birthday cards, ensuring that her warmth and love reached them throughout the years.

Since 2016, Lillian made her home in the picturesque community of Hilltop Lakes, where she continued to share her kindness and grace with those around her.

Lillian is survived by her children, Randy Nicholson (Katherine); daughter, Kim Graham (James); son, Scott Nicholson; and daughter, Desiree Taylor (Kerry); grandchildren, Amanda Nicholson, Megan Rico, Talasan Nicholson, Ashley Myers, Heather Jankowski, Alyssa Nicholson, Cavan Nicholson, Whitney Stephens, and Garrett Taylor; step-grandsons, Josh Graham and Mathew Graham; and fourteen great-grandchildren who will all carry forward her legacy of love and generosity.

Preceding Lillian in death were her mother, Annie Houston and beloved husband, Lawrence "Butch" Nicholson.

A celebration of Lillian's remarkable life will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Willowhole Cemetery. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join them in commemorating her vibrant spirit and the countless ways she touched the hearts of those around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Lillian's memory, reflecting the love she shared with everyone she met.

Final arrangements for Lillian are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
