Luther Wesley Messina

Luther Messina died at the age of eighty-four years. He passed away January 12, 2023 in Madisonville, Texas. Luther was born May 25, 1939 in Jefferson County, Alabama.  Luther had served his country in the United States Air Force for a brief time.  He had lived in Midway, Texas since 1979 and was employed by Monterrey Mushrooms as a truck driver for nineteen years. Luther was a loving, caring father to his five children, and he was a hard working man, always working on something. He loved building things, shooting guns, hunting and fishing, as well as being outdoors. He will be greatly missed.

Greeting him in heaven is his wife of fifty-four years, Paula Messina; daughter, Edith and sons, Clark and Kenneth. His other sons, Thomas & Chris Messina will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by his thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, as well as numerous family and friends

His daughter-in-law, Carrie, was always referred to by Luther as "His Homer." She will miss him even more.

Memorial services for Luther will take place 3 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
