Lynda Carol Brackett

Lynda Carol Brackett was born July 6, 1964 in Houston, Texas. Her parents were Donald & Gwendolyn (Feuhs) Brackett. Lynda was a graduate of West Springfield High School in West Springfield, Virginia, and she received her masters degree in accounting from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University). She worked as an internal auditor for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Lynda had lived in Normangee for the past twenty-two years where she greatly enjoyed being outdoors. She tried to be outside as much as possible and particularly liked working on her tractor. Lynda loved her two Labrador retrievers, “Scratch” and “Sniff” and treated them as her own children.

Lynda passed away April 6, 2018 in Conroe, Texas at the age of fifty-three years. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Brackett. Surviving family members include mother, Gwen Brackett of Normangee; brother, Layne Wilkerson (Vicki) of The Woodlands and nephews, Cole and Kyle Wilkerson.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
