Lynda Lynette Blackledge was born April 3, 1949, in Humansville, Missouri to George Washington & Ila (Fain) Hogan. Lynda was a homemaker her whole life and was tremendously family oriented. She loved taking care of her children when they were young and in school. What brought her the most joy in life was being near her family, especially her five grandchildren. One might describe Lynda as the glue that held the whole family together—always available to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone who needed it. She also had a talent for arts and crafts. Anytime Lynda got word of a new baby’s arrival she would crochet, knit or quilt the most beautiful baby blanket. She would often be reminded by someone of a blanket made for an infant years ago that was still kept as a prized possession and keepsake. Lynda and her husband had lived in North Zulch for the past twenty years, coming from Magnolia, and she was Baptist in faith. Lynda passed away March 11, 2018, at her home.

Lynda was preceded in death by father, George Washington Hogan and mother, Ila (Fain) Chaney. She is survived by husband, Leonard Blackledge of North Zulch; step-mother, Sybil Hogan of Nachez, MS; son, James Blackledge of Cypress; daughters, Jeannie Blackledge of Tomball, Pamela Blackledge of North Zulch and Sarah Andersen (Greg) of Cypress; brothers, Richard Williamson and Danny Hogan and sisters, Betty Williams, Donna Hill, Daphine Hogan and Rosanna Hogan. Lynda is also survived by five precious grandchildren, Evan Blackledge, Gracelyn Blackledge, Daniel Blackledge, Chloe Bizaillion and Tyler Andersen.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
