Melik Alexander Thompson was born in Houston, Texas on March 2, 1999, to Kimberly Michelle Bradley-Bolton and special parents, Kendall and Curtis Ellis. Melik attended Houston Independent School District from and early age until Junior High School. He then moved to Madisonville, Texas where he completed his education at Madisonville Senior High School.

As the only boy of four sisters, he made sure he put forth the effort to be not only the man he aspired to be, but to be the responsible, respectful man he was taught to be.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted mother, Kimberly Michelle Bradley-Bolton (Bobby); two children, Dejah and Devin Thompson (Courtney Shelton, mother); four sisters, Dominique Bradley (Chawee), Seiarra Robertson, Mikayla Jones, and Christyle Bonner; god-brother, De’Anthony Davis; three nieces, Jer’Niyah Shaffer, Faith Shaffer, and Islah House; grandmother, Betty Jackson; grandfather, David Bradley, Sr.; aunt, Dorothy Braziel; uncle, David Bradley, Jr.; uncle, Donald Nealey (Shannon); two special aunts, Zelda Walls (Kevin) and Nicole Wright-Thomas, along with a host of cousins, aunts, family and friends.
