Micheal Decatur Fitzhenry was born July 27, 1959, in Baytown, Texas, and died on May 24, 2022, in Bryan, Texas.
He went to elementary and junior high schools in Texas and Missouri. He graduated from George Washington High School in Charleston, WV and attended Belhaven College before moving back to Texas. He lived most of his adult life in Texas and retired in Austonio, Texas. Mike was a Pipeline Welder and proud member of Pipeliners Local 798 for forty years. Mike was an avid gardener and loved fishing and hunting. He was Presbyterian by faith.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his twin brother, Patrick Fitzhenry; and his brother, Stephen Fitzhenry. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Chavez Dominguez; father, Rev. Bill Fitzhenry; mother, Darlene Fitzhenry; sister, Kelli Machen (James); brother, Mitchell Fitzhenry (fiancé Vallerie Davis) and nieces and nephews, Ryan Fitzhenry, William Fitzhenry, Caitlin Fitzhenry, Zachary Eskins, Maxwell Eskins, Ray Fitzhenry, Julia Fitzhenry, Kelsie Fitzhenry, Leslie Fitzhenry.
A funeral service for Micheal will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Ryan Dansby will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Ten Mile Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place Thursday afternoon prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
