Mildred Pauline (Parker) Mosley

Funeral services for Mildred Mosley, 99, are set for 11 A.M., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Rev. Joshua Crutchfield will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch, Texas. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Mildred passed away on October 14, 2017 in Madisonville with her two loving daughters at her side. She was born on May 9, 1918 in North Zulch to Marshall and Ozelle Parker. She was the valedictorian of the North Zulch graduating class of 1935 and attended Sam Houston State University.

Mildred married Olan W. Mosley of February 28, 1940. The were happily married for 60 years until his death on July 11, 2000. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who was gifted in cooking, sewing, crocheting, and doing crossword puzzles. Mildred was a keen wit with a “tell it like it is” sense of humor. Her family and friends will miss her laugh, smiles, and her beautiful dimples.

Mildred was a member of the North Zulch Baptist Church and a 70 plus year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #458.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Inez Mallett (Lawrence); brother, Joe Parker (Jewel); granddaughter, Cheryl Wilson and son-in-law, Bob Webb.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Wilson (Billy) and Linda Webb, both of North Zulch. She will also be missed by her granddaughters, Lori Wilson (Luis Santoyo), Karen Pine (Bill) and her grandsons, Keith Webb and Kirk Webb (Stacey). There are eight great grandchildren: Zach, Max, Isaac, and Christian Wilson, Jacob and Katie Pine, and Maggie and Emmy Webb; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Paris Payne.

Mildred’s grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers
