Myra Adell Mcadams

Myra McAdams, age 74, passed away peacefully at home August 29, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 26, 1946 to Amos Jack & Ida Mae (West) Caldwell in Madisonville, Texas. She was raised in Midway, Texas and worked at T.D.C.J. beginning in the mailroom and later in the medical records department and at Fraley’s in Midway. Myra loved to sew and work on puzzles with her grandchildren. She was married to her late husband, Curtis Glen McAdams for eighteen years before his passing.

Myra was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Curtis McAdams; eight siblings; son-in-law, Charlie Warren & grandson, Devin Warren.

Surviving family members are sisters, Joan Campbell of Mexia and Ruby Stitt of LaPorte; brother, Jim Caldwell; daughters, Glenda Headrick (Paul) of Centerville, Patricia Barham (Justin) of LaPorte, Jessie Gibson (Heath) of Madisonville, Jamie Douglas (Ben) of Midway and Sherry DuBose (Cameron) of Liberty; son-in-law, Robert Welch and grandchildren, Robin Welch of Trinity, Amanda Fisher (Trey) of Centerville, Jennifer Ivey (Josh) of Midway, Annie James (Chris) of Conroe, Jack & J.R. Gibson of Madisonville, Paul Headrick, Jr. (Lori) of Centerville, Elizabeth Dockery (Benjamin) of Palestine, Robert Headrick of Palestine, Steven Headrick of Centerville, Matthew Warren of Midway and Carlie-Rae Warren of Midway. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; three great, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews.

Funeral services for Myra will be held 10 A.M., Friday, September 4, 2020 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Kim Squires will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Leona Cemetery, Leona, Texas. The McAdams family will receive friends Thursday, September 3rd from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
