Nelda Dian Isbell

Funeral services for Nelda Isbell, 63, will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Iola Missionary Baptist Church, Iola, Texas. Rev. Tim Owens will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery near Iola, Texas. A brief visitation will take place from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M., Saturday at the church prior to the service.

Nelda Dian Isbell was born July 17, 1958 in Navasota, Texas to Arvol Beason & Betty Lois (Burk) Isbell. She was raised in Grimes County and lived in Houston for a number of years until her retirement. Nelda moved back to Iola in 2004 where she built a new home and enjoyed her retirement gardening, fishing, working with cattle and being outdoors. Nelda especially loved dancing. She passed away September 5, 2021 at her home in Iola. Nelda was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Surviving family members include daughter, Vanessa Neal (John) of Houston; brother, Larry Isbell (Stacy) of Iola; sisters, Jean Herrera of Iola and Dixie Bollin (Dwight) of Iola and grandchildren, Daniel & Ethan Neal.

Arrangements are in the care of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
