Nellie "Ruth" (Mcvey) Lynch

Graveside services for Ruth Lynch, 85, will be held 2 P.M., Friday, May 28, 2021 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in the Mt. Tabor Community of Madison County. Pastor Wade Phillips will officiate the service. Ruth passed away May 26, 2021 at her home following an extended illness.

Nellie Ruth McVey Lynch was born May 27, 1935 in the Mt. Tabor Community to Bert G. & Mirl (Myrick) McVey. She was a lifetime resident of Madison County and served as the Postmaster for Midway, Texas until her retirement. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, being active in the Midway Community and working in her yard.

Ruth was preceded in death by both of her parents, Bert & Mirl McVey; husband, Patrick H. Wakefield; husband, Billie Joe Lynch; eldest son, Lane Clayton Lynch and all of her brothers and sisters. Survivors include son, Bill P. Lynch & wife, Tricia of Madisonville and David M. Lynch & wife, Eileen of Madisonville; grandchildren, Daniel Lynch & wife, Grace, Brian Lynch & wife, Natalie, Bert Lynch & wife, Nicole, Joshua Lynch & Brittany, Cathrine Lynch & Jason, Brandi Lynch, Megan Lynch & husband, Shaun and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Christian, Brylee, Katelyn, Parker, Hunter, Fisher, Jessica, Teagan, Elizabeth, Emily, Evelyn and Elaina, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and three sisters-in-law, Jane Lynch Hillenkamp, Sue Lynch Clute and Laura Jo McRee Lynch.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
