Odis "Tink" Johnson, Jr.

Odis "Tink" Johnson, Jr. was born December 27, 1944 in Madison County to the late Odis and Margaret Johnson. He received his education at Marion Anderson High School in Madisonville, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age at Wilson Chapel C.O.G.I.C in Leon County, Texas.

Odis "Tink" Johnson, Jr. passed away October 17, 2020 in Bryan, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis, Sr. and Margaret Johnson; three brothers, James Robert "Bob" Johnson, Wilson Estevson "Sonny Boy" Johnson and Joe Lee Johnson and two sisters, Ruby Thelma "Bay" Johnson and Jewel Holiday.

To cherish his memories, he leaves five sons, Otis Moten (Patricia), Jeremiah Johnson, Isaiah Lotts, Josh Cobbs and Barron Washington; two sisters, Manae Lavan and Elaine Johnson; one brother, Charles Johnson (Arette); aunt, Edna Evans; ex-wife, Jackie Ross Johnson; twenty-two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

"Tink" enjoyed spending time with family and friends and meddling with everyone he saw. He loved playing dominoes at the Center with his buddies and especially loved to argue about life and sports with his brother, Charles. He loved everyone he came in contact with just as everyone loved him. "Tink" will surely be missed.

Homegoing services for Odis "Tink" Johnson, Jr. will be held 11:30 A.M., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at First Baptist Church, Madisonville, Texas. Pastor Toni Green will officiate the service. Interment will follow in West End Cemetery. A public visitation will take place Friday, October 23rd from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
