Otis Wayne "Buddy" Maynard, Jr.

Funeral services for Buddy Maynard, 64, will be held 2 P.M., Friday, June 4, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Pastor Bruce Ammons will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Madisonville Cemetery. The Maynard family will receive friends Thursday, June 3rd from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

The Maynard family kindly requests that masks be required for all attendees to the visitation and funeral service.

Otis Wayne “Buddy” Maynard, Jr. was born August 2, 1956 in Sugar Land, Texas to Otis Wayne, Sr. & Velma (Bailey) Maynard. He was raised in Sugar Land and bravely served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. Buddy had lived in Missouri City prior to moving to Madisonville and had worked as a machinist for Imperial Sugar Company.

Buddy enjoyed deer hunting anytime the opportunity presented itself. He hunted white tail deer, buffalo, elk, red stag and black bucks, and his favorite hunting spot was in the Hill Country of Texas.

Buddy passed away May 27, 2021 in Bryan, Texas. He is survived by loving wife, Georgia Maynard of Madisonville; son, Jeff Maynard of Arizona and sisters, Sandra Maynard of Madisonville and Susan Stewart (Mike) of Huntsville, AL.
