Memorial services for Phillip Paul McWhorter, age 28, of Iowa Colony, Texas, will be held 1:30 P.M., Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Joshua Schwarz, pastor of Madisonville Christian Fellowship, will officiate the service.
On Sunday, December 15, 2019, Phillip Paul McWhorter, loving husband, father, and brother, passed away at the age of 28. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence Schuenemann and Audrey Schuenemann Ruth; and his great uncle, William Paul McWhorter.
Phillip was born on June 8, 1991, in Houston, Texas to Phil and Anita McWhorter. He was raised in Bryan and North Zulch, Texas. Growing up, many of his family and friends knew him as “Pickle Simor” and “Roscoe P Cole Train”. He made his living as a welder and ironworker. Phillip and Meranda established their home in Rosharon, Texas where they were starting their family.
He leaves behind his wife, Meranda Schoggin; three children, Harrison, age 11, Armour, age 2 ½, and Kenslee, age 8 months; his parents, Anita and Phil McWhorter; sister, Danica Samford, and husband, Colby; sisters, Lauren and Andrea McWhorter; his beloved Ninny; nephews, Kason, Gage, Landon, and Aiden; uncle and aunt, Edward and Rhonda Schuenemann; cousins, Stephen, Dustin, Christopher, Jennifer, Heather, and Josh; paternal grandparents, Buddy and Anna McWhorter; uncles and aunts, Ruben and Anna Garcia, James McWhorter, and Leah Garcia; and cousins, Cyle, Cory, and Ruben. He was also survived by Meranda’s Nana, Wanda Dayton; aunt, Teresa Meier; uncle, Jason Clark; and cousin; Addy Clark; uncle, BJ Schoggin; aunt, Amanda Schoggin; and cousin, Braydon Schoggin.
Phillip was so loved by all of his family and friends. He will be truly missed by his ride or die best friends, Nick, Timothy, Clayton, Daniel, and Cory. Anyone that knew Phillip knew he always had a smile on his face and would give you the shirt off his back.
