Ricardo "Rick" Alvarado

Funeral services for Ricardo “Rick” Alvarado, 57, of Madisonville have been set for 12 noon, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Madisonville. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Steve Summers and Father Mark Kusmirek will officiate. Visitation hours are from 5 PM until 7 PM on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Madisonville Funeral Home. Scripture reading and a Rosary will be held following the visitation.

Ricardo Alvarado was born on July 9, 1961 in Houston, Texas. Rick lived in Madisonville for the past 25 years, moving from Houston. He worked at several different jobs during his life. He had been a policeman in Montgomery County. At one time he was a truck driver and also owned “Alvarado Tire and Towing”.

Rick enjoyed yard work and he loved talking. He never met a stranger and entertained many people that he talked to. He was always trying to help people out. Also, Rick enjoyed barbecuing for others. He passed away on October 18, 2018 in Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Alvarado and Jane Martinez Alvarado and a brother, Antonio Alvarado, Jr.

Surviving family includes his wife, Silvia Alvarado of Madisonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricardo and Elizabeth Alvarado, Jr. of the Woodlands, Jose and Amanda Alvarado of Madisonville and Antonio Alvarado of Madisonville; two sisters, Mary Lou Hernandez of Washington State and Rebecca Vindiola of Mexico and six grandchildren, Emily, Eva, Coy, Benjamin, Samuel and William.
