Ronald Edward Walther

Ronald Edward Walther, 83, of Madisonville, Texas passed away on April 20, 2022 in Madisonville, Texas. Ronald was born to Carl Fredrick Walther and Evelyn Katherine (Creppon) Walther on November 10, 1938, in Houston, Texas. Ronald married the love of his life, Betty Kay on October 31, 1958. Ronald loved his family and any time he was able to spend with them. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going to his lake house at Lake Limestone where many family gatherings were held. Ronald and his wife also enjoyed their time together traveling on cruise ships.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Betty (Kay) Walther of Madisonville, Texas; son, Greg Walther (Patty) of Madisonville, Texas; daughter, Kellie Walther Montoya of Bryan, Texas; brothers, Michael Walther (Barbara) of Houston, Texas, Chuck Walther (Doris) of Sargent, Texas; sisters, Pat Folks of College Station, Texas, Dianna Parker of Franklin, Texas; grandchildren, Carl Walther, Callie Walther, Taylor Green, and Noah Montoya; and great-grandchildren, Cooper Cook and Jaxton Walther. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; son, Ronnie Walther; sister, Carlene McBride; brothers-in-law, Frank Flack and Ed Folks.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Zion Church of Kurten in Kurten, Texas. Pastor Aubrey Rogers will officiate. A brief visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. until the service.
