Ronald Lee Jones

Ronald Lee Jones was born August 12, 1952 in Houston, Texas. His parents were Gene Calvin, Sr. & Frances Marie (Johnston) Jones. Ronald worked as a welding supervisor at Hughes Christensen for twenty-five years.

In true Texas fashion, Ronald was a lover of hunting, fishing and barbeque. He took his family to the beach every year where he enjoyed spending time surf fishing. He was also fond of going to the race track to watch the car races. Ronald had lived all of his life in various regions of Houston. He passed away June 23, 2020 in Missouri City, Texas at the age of sixty-seven years. Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Gene Calvin Jones, Sr.

Ronald’s surviving family includes mother, Frances Jones of Tomball; daughters, Tara (Travis) Sowell of Cleveland, Karie (Tom) Shaw of Kingwood and Amanda Jones of Conroe; brothers, Jesse Carrol (Candy) Jones of Magnolia and Gene “Calvin” Jones, Jr. (Jackie Eden) of Hockley and sister, Pamela Jean (Harry “Lynn”) Hanks of Tomball. He is also survived by grandchildren, Kendall Sowell & Anne-Marie Grace Shaw and great-grandchildren, Kimber & Colt McLamb.

Graveside services for Ronald will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Rock Prairie Cemetery.
