Stephen Jesse Parker, 62, was born in Midland, Michigan on September 21, 1962, to proud parents Jesse and Hazel (Scriver) Parker and passed away at his residence in Madisonville, Texas on January 1, 2025.

If it were possible to describe Stephen with one word it would likely be, “servant.” He looked after those around him and did what he could for others when he was able. His life of service was on display in many forms. One of those involved his time in the United States Marine Corps where he served his country honorably. Stephen had several passions that garnered his attention on a regular basis. These included scrapbooking, collecting coins and fishing when the opportunity prevailed. He also appreciated good fellowship over a game of darts.

Stephen was a man of conviction who was firmly established in his religious Pentecostal beliefs. He adhered strongly to the adage, “honesty is always the best policy.” He valued his integrity and navigated his days with character worthy of replicating.

Stephen was preceded in death by the parents that raised him and his biological parents, James and Mary Mantle; his twin brothers, Shane and Sean Bowmar; and three sisters, Patricia (Parker) Williams, Jean (Parker) Warner, and Ruth (Scriver) Coy.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are numerous. These include his loving wife, Sandra Parker; sons, Stephen S. Parker (Miranda) of Ohio, Dustin Judge (Holly) of Ohio, Jeremy Hunt (Rita) of Caldwell and Justin Sanswable (Rebeccah) of Huntsville; daughters, Dolly M. Sarty of Ohio and Dorothy K. Messina (Alex) of Huntsville; brother, Frank Erckman (Sarah) of Ohio; sisters, Gina Welch and Pam (Parker) Bowmar, both of Ohio; twenty-three grandchildren and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Final arrangements for Stephen Jesse Parker are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
