Suellen Sandlin

Emblem

Suellen (Brindley) Sandlin, 73, was born in Houston, Texas on October 2, 1951, to proud parents Donald and Lilly (Musgrove) Brindley and passed away at her residence in Normangee, Texas on December 30, 2024.

Finding a proper place to start in portraying Suellen is challenging since she accomplished so much and the words to describe her are so many. To begin with, she was employed with NASA for more than a decade and served honorably in the United States Army. She was a servant to those around her, and this was expressed in numerous ways.

Suellen will be fondly remembered as a hippie conservative who was certainly set in her ways. However, this was beautifully balanced with a big, genuine heart of gold resulting in the making of an amazing woman who reflected wonderful values and set a great example for others to follow. She was free-spirited, enjoyed her solitude, but never missed opportunities to be present with those she loved. One of her greatest passions was music and this included just about every genre one can mention. She was an avid reader and had a natural gift for retention which further enhanced her already stellar writing style.

Suellen is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Bob Sandlin; sister, Donna Ondruch; brothers-in-law, James Ondruch and Charles Sandlin; sister-in-law, Shirley Sandlin; and nephew, Feron Sandlin.

Those left to cherish Suellen’s memory are her two sons, Jason Sandlin (Stephanie) and Thomas Sandlin (Erin); sister, Lois Gaston (Robert); nine grandchildren; and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.

No services for Suellen are scheduled at this time.

Final arrangements for Suellen Sandlin are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
