Terry Glen Bryan

July 13, 1949 — October 15, 2024

Midway, Texas

Terry Glen Bryan, 75, made his divine entrance into the world on July 13, 1949, in Cleveland, Texas. He was born to J.C. and Myrtle (Cade) Bryan and made his glorious exit into eternity on October 15, 2024, where he now basks in the perfect light of Jesus Christ.

Terry was a fan of the outdoors and enjoyed working on his tractor. He had a real knack for building things and was quite handy. Terry was certainly put to good use during his time on this earth. He was an instrument used by the Lord in profound and memorable ways that will last in the recollections of all those he came in contact with over the years.

He served as pastor of the New Life Church in Midway and will be fondly remembered as a wonderful servant who authentically cared for others. Some adjectives to describe Terry include, but are definitely not limited to, gentle, kind and generous. His forgiveness knew no bounds and helping people was at the top of Terry’s motivations. All those who knew Terry would agree that he set a godly example for others to follow. This manifested in the forms of servanthood and sacrifice, both of which characterized his life in observable ways.

Terry adored his family and faithfully loved and cared for his wife Martha for more than fifty-two years. He was a cherished Papa and will be dearly missed by those who knew him. It is pleasant to the soul to know that today, Terry is in the presence of the one who ordained his every step and is set free from the challenges of this world.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jeanette Morrisett and Rhonda Carroll.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha Bryan; sons, Richard Thomas of Houston, Mississippi, Scott Thomas of Midway, and Terry Paul Bryan of Midway; daughter, Shanna Shaw of Midway; brothers, J.C. Bryan Jr. (Sharon) of Madisonville and Joe Bryan of Madisonville; sisters, Louise Ellis of Dodge and Juanita Caldwell of Midway; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and loving friends.
