Funeral services for Tommy A. Parker, Sr., 85, of Anderson, Texas will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Pastor John Sirman will officiate the service, and interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Carlos, Texas. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
Tommy A. Parker, Sr. was born April 14, 1936 in Palacios, Texas. He received his education from Madisonville High School and Sam Houston State University. Tommy was self-employed most of his life as a cattle buyer. He was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo and Grimes County Fair Associations and former director of Security State Bank in Navasota, Texas. Tommy passed away at home surrounded by his family February 23, 2022.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, George Parker. Surviving family members include wife, Sue Churchwell-Parker; sons, Tommy Parker, Jr. and Robert Parker; daughters, Mary Martha Parrack and Teri Couteau; grandchildren, Blaise Parker, Tripp Parker, Garrett Parker, Jena Stewart, Kevin Parrack, Jr., Jimbo Parrack, Sam Parrack, Max Wilson, Sarah Couteau, Anne Couteau and Paizlee Parker, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Paul Stallings, Marty Lenore, Tripp Parker, Payne Lara, Garrett Parker, Wayne Massey, Raymond Singletary
Honorary Pallbearers: Former Employees of Tommy Parker
In lieu of flowers, the Parker family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas is entrusted with arrangements.
