Sgt. Walter Cenon Ocampo, age 26, made his momentous entry into the world in North Carolina on October 11, 1997, and passed away in San Antonio, Texas on September 5, 2024.
Walter had a few passions, and one of them was fishing. He always looked forward to reeling in his next big catch. Deep sea fishing was his favorite, but he would drop a line just about anywhere. Walter also enjoyed spending his time working on older cars. He was comfortable under the hood and often sought out classics to rebuild.
He enjoyed and experienced great fulfillment in his job as a drone operator for military intelligence. If Walter was not working on a car, he readily shifted his attention to motorcycles. He was happy being around them whether he was working on one or riding it down the open road.
Life was challenging for Walter, but he loved fiercely and felt strongly for those close to him. He adored his daughters, Devin and Maria, and had a genuine authentic love for his wife, Diana. Walter had a big heart and served those around him in beautiful ways. He was an organ donor and his legacy lives on through his selfless contribution.
Those left to cherish Walter’s memory are his wife, Diana Musgrove; mother, Rosa Angeles Peguero; daughters, Devin Musgrove and Maria Rioz; brothers, Walter Edgardo Ocampo Jr. (Kaylin Marie) and Andy James Ocampo (Jasmine Nicole); sister, Jabyby Lilibeth Ocampo Padilla (Jeffrey Kirk Barnes); and cousin, Jose Hernan Gonzalez, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.
