William Hugh Culp

William Hugh Culp, 64, of Madisonville, Texas was born to parents Billie Hugh and Patricia (McGuire) Culp on March 22, 1961, and passed away on April 20, 2025.

William, affectionately known as Billy, will be fondly remembered by friends and family as a man who navigated his days with zeal for the things he loved which included a cigarette and his Harley motorcycle. A day on the open road was a good day for Billy. He readily took advantage of every opportunity to get on his bike and go. As one would expect, Billy always kept track of the next motorcycle rally and made every effort to attend. Billy was also a talented woodworker and sought-after carpenter who did precision work.

Billy displayed a grumpy nature at times, but this was balanced out perfectly with genuine authentic care for others and a willingness to help on a moment’s notice. That said, his greatest affection was for his family, and he loved and adored them all.

Billy is preceded in death by both parents, wife, Kathleen Steinbruner and brother, Jeff Culp.

Left to cherish Billy’s memory are his son, Harley Culp; daughter, Tiffany Steinbruner (Matthew Kelly); brother, Stephen Culp; sister, Cathy Culp; two grandchildren, Ryder and Gracie Kelly; and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.

Final arrangements for William Hugh Culp are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
